Are children welcome in worship?

Children are most welcome in Worship, and there presence makes our service all the more joyful. All God's children have a cherished place in our community.

What should I expect in worship?

Our Sunday 9:00 am worship is a traditional Lutheran service of Word and Sacrament. The service includes traditional spiritual music with scripture, prayer, and the sacrament of Holy Communion. In additon to the regular pastor's message there is also a children's message all children attending.

Who can receive communion?

All baptized Christians are welcome to receive communion. We believe all Christians should be able to partake including those with special dietary needs. We provide grape juice in addition to the traditional wine. Gluten, dairy, and soy free wafers are also available. Children who are not ready to receive communion may come forward for a blessing. First Communion classes are scheduled each year to prepare children for communion. Please speak to the pastor if you would like your child to receive communion.

How do I become a member of Good Shepherd?

New members are received into our congregation through letter of transfer, new member classes, or baptism. Please contact Pastor Wes if you are interested in becoming a member.
