Good Shepherd reaches out to the community in many ways. From providing space for the homeless, support groups, and the food bank to supporting the Wilkes-Barre Free Clinic.
Good Shepherd founded the Wilkes-Barre Free clinic in cooperation with St. Nicholas Catholic Church to serve the uninsured and under insured in our community. The clinic is now a separate non-profit organization but is still supported by Good Shepherd volunteers.
The Bear Creek Day Camp that serves children in the community each year is co-sponsored by the Wilkes-Barre Lutheran Churches. The camp provides faith based learning, arts, crafts, and games during a one week day camp.
