Third Sunday of Easter

Spring brings forth hope in the face of the trials in our lives. In celebration of God’s creation and Earth Day this past week, the prelude features images of spring flowers I photographed. I pray that Sandy’s music with these images helps lift your spirits and sets the mood for a meaningful worship experience while we are all sheltering at home.
Peace to all, Daren

This week’s hymns from the Evangelical Lutheran Worship Hymnal include:

  • 389 – Christ Is Alive, Let Christians Sing
  • 369 – Christ the Lord Is Risen Today, Alleluia

Bible texts include:

  • First Reading – Acts 2:14a, 36-41
  • Psalm 116:1-4, 12-19
  • Second Reading – 1 Peter 1:17-23
  • Gospel – Luke 24:13-35

It may still be some time until we can worship together again. Rest assured that we will continue to bring worship into your home as long as needed.

  1. Another meaningful and much appreciated service. Daren, your pictures were beautiful. Sandy, loved the prelude especially the harpsichord. Pastor, another wonderful sermon–loved the story of the little boy and the woman finding God in the park.

  2. Your (all of you) services give me moments of peace and hope during these stressful days. Thank you.
