Rally Day – September 10th

Good Shepherd’s Faith Formation Ministry Team is sponsoring “Rally Day” at the church this coming Sunday starting at 9:45 am. All youth and their families are invited to attend this kick-off event for this year’s Family Faith Journey, our church’s Sunday School program. Special events include a Bible Maze and “Pie Guy”.

Incredible Creations Kids Club

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Presents Incredible Creations Kids Club. A summer creative activities ministry for kids entering 1st through 5th grade.

Kids will explore their talents given by God through dance, drama, art, music, gardening and nature studies.

The program will take place Wednesday evenings from 5:00-7:30 through August.

Join us July 12 at 5:00pm for a Family Barbecue to kick off our new ministry.

VBS is Here

VBS has arrived at Good Shepherd. Through interactive learning using the story of Noah children have learned how to Love one another and Trust in the Lord during the first two days. Fun activities include music, drama, crafts, games, and snacks. Click here to see photos of VBS in action. It’s not too late for kids 3 years to 6th grade to join in the fun and learning. VBS continues 9:am to noon through Friday, June 23rd.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 190 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, June 19 – 23, 9:00 am to Noon. This year’s theme is: God’s Promise – Where Kids Trust in the Word. Kids 3 years through 6th grade are welcome to participate in this ministry program of interactive learning through music, drama, crafts, and games. Martin Luther’s Small Catechism Study

Tomorrow evening, March 29, at 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, the study of Martin Luther’s Small Catechism continues. Prior to the study there will be a light, informal soup supper starting at 5:30 pm. This week’s topic will be The Lord’s Prayer. The study will end by 7:00 pm.

Martin Luther’s Small Catechism

On Wednesday evenings starting , March 8,  at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, there will be a study of Martin Luther’s Small Catechism. Martin Luther intentionally wrote this Small Catechism to be used by families in their homes for faith development. This study will end by 7:00 pm. Prior to the study there will be a light, informal soup supper starting at 5:30 pm..This week’s  topic will be the 10 Commandments. Journey of Lent

Sunday, March 5th is the first Sunday in the church season of Lent. traditionally, Lent focuses on strengthening  our faith and our relationship with God. All are welcome to join us for worship each Sunday morning at 8:30 am, and 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.  Also each Sunday for an hour starting at 9:45 am, is a children’s based program called Family Faith Journey.  Children learn about God’s love and grow in their faith together with their family.

Starting Monday and through the week there will be questions raised for meditation based on the Bible readings heard during  Sunday worship.

Let us journey together through Lent.
